BRUCE Willis and Richard Gere have been cast in the leading roles of the new version of Frederick Forsythe's The Day of the Jackal, to be made by Michael Caton Jones, director of Scandal and Rob Roy. Nicolas Cage is tipped to co star with Meg Ryan in the American remake of the Wim Wenders film, Wings of Desire. The remake, City of Angels, will be directed by Brad Silberling, who made Casper. Robin Williams and Billy Crystal will star in Father's Day, Ivan Reitman's American remake of the hit French comedy, Les Comperes the cast also includes Nastassja Kinski, Julia Louis Dreyfus and Jared Harris.
