THE latest catalogue of books relating to Ireland has recently been produced by Emerald Isle Books of Belfast, and it features more than 2,000 entries, listed alphabetically by the author. Naturally, the range is extremely wide and includes such items of interest as a de luxe edition of the 10-volume compendium of Irish literature edited by Justin McCarthy and published in New York in 1904.
Then there is a rare directory of Dublin dating from 1749, an 1801 statistical survey of Co Cavan by Sir Charles Coote, a 1676 study of the Rawdon gardens at Moira Castle and, of more recent vintage, a limited copy of Seamus Heaney's Bog Poems. The catalogue may be obtained from Emerald Isle Books, 539 Antrim Road, Belfast BT15 3BU.
