It’s a polarised programme, which mingles music of the French Renaissance (by Mouton, Sermisy, Gombert and Janequin) with works by two living composers, each from a different hemisphere.
Australia's Ross Edwards is represented by his Mountain Chantand Denmark's Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen by Four Madrigalsfrom the Natural World, settings of work by Australian poet Les Murray. The programme will be heard in Belfast on Wednesday and Dublin on Thursday.
