MORE than 350 lots will be included in Tuesday evening's sale conducted by Skibbereen auctioneer Morgan O'Driscoll. These include the contents of a captain's residence (not least ships lanterns and brass portholes) and the part contents of a parochial house. Among the more significant pieces is a Georgian mahogany secretaire bookcase, carrying an estimate of £1,800-£2,500.
In addition, there is a William IV rosewood davenport (£1,000-£1,400), a Queen Anne walnut gentleman's chest of drawers (£600-£900) and a set of six Victorian rosewood dining chairs on cabriole legs (£800-£1,000).
