Yurodny
The Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire 8pm €20/€18 paviliontheatre.ie
Celebrating 10 years together, Nick Roth's highly inventive ensemble premiere a new suite, Wave, a product of his time as artist in residence at the DLR Lexicon. A mediation on the significance of Dún Laoghaire's port in the making of journeys, and asks wider social questions around the movements of peoples around the world. Yurodny meld traditional and contemporary sounds with a fluidity and imagination that's all too rare, so tonight's performance (also featuring a "best of" the ensemble's finest music over the past decade) promises to be something very special.
