From Boston and Brooklyn respectively, the Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb DJ tag teams are enjoying plenty of attention and traction. Last year’s K7 mix-album, compiled by both camps, which is a fine snapshot of their take on sultry, subtle, slow-burning, deeply melodic house with nods here and there to hip-hop and r’n’b.
Both crews are also very much part and parcel of lovely scenes. The Marcy Hotel parties, Wolf + Lamb label releases and productions such as their Love Someone debut album have kept Gadi Mizrahi and Zev Eisenberg in high regard. Meanwhile Soul Clap’s Eli “Elyte” Goldstein and Charles “Cynce” Levine (left) are currently doing the rounds with debut album Efunk, which features collaborations with Wolf + Lamb, Greg Paulus and Mel Blatt from All Saints on a version of Baby D rave classic Need Your Lovin’.
