Say it loud and say it proud

It's official. "Basterd" is not a rude word. You will recall that when Inglourious Basterdswas released, TV adverts coyly refused to broadcast the second word in the title. Last week, the British Advertising Standards Authority, responding to complaints, ruled that it was acceptable to use the word on posters and radio commercials.

On a related issue, Quentin Tarantino has, as is his way, been talking nonsense about future projects. No, it's not a Bond flick or a western or a film in Mandarin. Tarantino has promised a third Kill Billfilm for 2014. We'll see.
