Davey Moore of little xxs for eyes
What's on your rider?Sellotape, Appletiser, lots of towels and a tape deck.
What would be on your fantasy rider?Luxury pie and a puppy parade.
What's your pre-gig ritual/ routine?I like to de-bauble my cardigan with the Sellotape and then gargle with warm Appletiser. Then there's high- fives and bum-slaps all round just before we take the stage.
What's the best gig you've been to?Sonic Youth in Hong Kong, 1995. Hyperbole or not, an out-of-body experience.
And the worst?Cat Power in Whelan's in 2003. She played chord progressions for about 15 minutes at a time while babbling – from crazy to banal – all the while, until the venue pulled the plug. My then girlfriend cried in the taxi on the way home at having seen one of her heroes in that sad state.
What are your favourite and least favourite venues?Big fan of the Button Factory and Whelan's, both floors. Anywhere without monitors is a nightmare for three-part harmonies.
Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs?Sorcha from Sleep Thieves, and Al from Le Galaxie. They used to be in our band, but they went on to become at least 15 per cent more famous than us.
What's the most you've ever paid for a gig ticket? Our bass player, Aaron, paid 80 for Supertramp last year and, sadly, was sorely disappointed.
Groupies. Would you?Ah, but would they?
How many roadies does it take to change your lightbulbs (ie, how big is your entourage)? We would love some roadies, and some of those bulbs, too.
Have you a special stage wardrobe?Bouquets of fruit in our hats.
Do you like to meet and greet fans after the gig?Yeah, it's usually pretty hot and sweaty by the last song, so they're very welcome.
Any useful stage tips?Polyester and pyrotechnics don't mix.
If you could be in any other band, which one?American Analog Set. They play slow enough for me to keep up.
Who's invited to your aftershow party?Come one, come all.
