New Orleans's Allen Toussaint brought his magnificent song book to the National Concert Hall in Dublin on Tuesday night, including Working in the Coal Mine, Southern Nightsand Whipped Cream,with nothing more than a grand piano for company.

More muted than his last visit, Toussaint seemed constrained by his concert hall setting - yet, occasionally, sparks flew.
