AILBHE MALONEtakes pride in not being plastic. She's 100 per cent mahogany
* TRACK OF THE WEEK: Hold It Against Meby Britney Spears. There is a new Britney single. And with a new Britney single comes a new Britney album. And with a new Britney album there will eventually be new Britney live shows. This is not a drill. Remain calm. Hold It Against Meis a grower, with its dubsteppy breakdown and relentless Red Bull-fuelled beat. On a scale of Britney songs in which she seduces a young man on the dance floor, it is better than Crazy, but not as good as Slave 4 U,which is as accurate a review as you're going to get around here.
* Excitingly, Victoria Beckham has announced she is preggo once more. Tweeting her statement (how modern!), Posh typed “thank u so much for your kind and beautiful messages!!! We are all so happy and very excited.” Posh’s longing for a baby girl has been long-documented (and with a wardrobe that good who could blame her for wanting to gift it to the next generation?), and we hope that this time, after having three boys, her wish is granted.
* Dimpled lovely Cheryl Cole has slammed plastic surgery, stating it sends out a bad message. Speaking to the News of the World, Cheryl huffed that "in Hollywood you see surgery all the time, walking down the street. But I don't think it's good or nice, because everyone looks the same. Part of being you is your uniqueness and identity. If you get the same surgery as the woman next door, chances are you'll start looking the same. We have a responsibility to feed women a positive body image."
* Jay-Z’s newest business venture has us salivating already. He’s invested in a restaurant in Brooklyn that serves not only buffalo wings but also deep-fried Snickers and Oreos. It’s not just good cooking, though, the restaurant also backs a social initiative – recently it rewarded outstanding students at a local middle school with free food. What we want to know is this: will Beyoncé be waitressing?
