The list of limited-edition releases continues to grow in the build-up to the fourth annual Record Store Day.

A number of high-profile bands, artists and labels have announced special releases to entice people to support their local independent record shops around the world, including Radiohead.

Earlier this week, Thom Yorke and co revealed that a 12in vinyl containing the previously unreleased songs Supercolliderand The Butcherwill be released on April 16th. It's believed that there will only be 2,000 copies available, and only UK stores will stock the release.

However, there’ll be plenty of other special editions, coloured vinyl, one-off pressings and collectors’ items on sale in record shops around Ireland, including reissues by Big Star, Bruce Springsteen and Kate Bush, while new albums and singles by Gorillaz, Daft Punk and Lady Gaga will also be available to early birds on the day.

Unfortunately, Dublin’s Comet Records is the latest store to close its doors permanently; the Temple Bar outlet will sell its last record on April 15th, the eve of Record Store Day. A closing-down sale is now on.
