This is fizzy, giddy and joyful and exactly what we need this grim January week. Taking a left turn from indie, Matty 1975's sulky vocals are lifted by pulsing synths. The 1975's trademark conversational lyrics are still here, but when layered over electro-pop they become transcendental, climaxing in the chorus: "I know the sound of your heart." Hero of the Week is leftfield electronica, according to Ariana Grande. She told Jimmy Kimmel: "My all-time favourite artist is Imogen Heap. I love her, I'm obsessed with her. She's incredible, she's a genius and I've loved her forever. There was an email that came in that was like, 'Hey, Imogen heard that Ariana has a concert in the UK and would like to have her over for dinner'.
“And I was like, ‘Oh my god, this isn’t real!’. And I was on my way to her house and it was a really long, long drive and eventually I thought I was being Catfished. And it ended up being her and it was a pleasant surprise!”
