AILBHE MALONEis drawn to dark metaphors. She's a dark horse in that respect
* TRACK OF THE WEEK : Notoriousby The Saturdays. Unfortunately, The Saturdays (below) have been replaced by a girl group consisting of "outlaws", "gangsters", and "big bosses". Don't worry, though – luckily this only happens on the dance floor. We presume that in daily, non-dance-floor life The Saturdays are the opposite of gangsters. With a bombastic chorus (and Rochelle looking the best she's ever looked in the video), Notoriousis far better than it ought to be.
* Every week that passes only makes us want to be friends with Adele even more. Speaking to Qmagazine about her plans for the summer, she was emphatic. "I will not do festivals. The thought of an audience that big frightens the life out of me. I don't think the music would work either. It's all too slow. I'd hate to book a festival and have a f***ing anxiety attack and then not go on stage, do you know what I mean? That's all I'll be doing – sitting in Brockwell Park with my friends, drinking cider." On a roll, she then spoke to Fabulousmagazine about her body image, saying "I've got enough money for a personal trainer or nutritionist; I just can't be arsed . . . I'm not going to stop eating the food I like just because I can't be bothered to exercise . . . If I lost loads of weight, my tits would go saggy and then that would be the main issue."
* It's been a while, but Florence Welch is finally working on her second album. Speaking to Nylonmagazine, the Dog Dayssinger explained that "it still feels like I'm very much drawn to dark metaphors in the new songs. It always feels as if, with each song you write, you're trying to understand something about yourself: why am I this way? What's wrong with me? A lot of the songs on the new album are about imaginary things, things that you can't touch: ghosts and rumours, my dead grandmother, things visiting you in a dream." Things you can't touch, eh Florence?
You forgot to include “this”.
