AILBHE MALONEhas a second shot of aural tequila
TRACK OF THE WEEK: Die Young by Ke$ha
You can probably imagine what this sounds like without reading a description. And you’d be exactly right. Which is no bad thing. Ke$ha’s in the club, and she’s dancing and flirting with a boy. Funnily enough, seeing as a Flo Rida track gave Ke$ha her first big break, the opening sounds a bit like Good Feeling by Flo Rida. The rest sounds like the aural equivalent of your second shot of tequila – the one where everything’s great, before you start to feel a bit nauseous.

Demi Lovato continues to speak out about her health problems, this week opening up to US TV’s Katie Couric about her family’s history with eating disorders. “I believe that I was born with it, and that it was just gonna be there. It runs in my family and it’s just there. And I think that when you go through things that are traumatic . . . it can bring out the nasty behaviours that rise to the surface when you don’t know how to stay in control or feel your emotions.” We’re very proud of you D.Lo. Keep doing you.

The Killers wouldn’t be beyond working with Rihanna, says drummer Ronnie Vannucci, but it would have to happen in a very specific way, he explained to website Digital Spy. “It would leave a bad taste in my mouth if our manager calls their manager and arranges some type of weird red carpet-yet-off-the red carpet meeting to try and sell a shitload of records. I think, whoever it is who we want to work with – from any genre – it has to be a natural meeting. I’d much rather bump into Rihanna at Whole Foods produce isle and say, ‘Hey, why don’t you come around and we’ll gather around a guitar, write a song and see what happens?’ Rather than, ‘Hey, let’s Skype and meet at a studio in New York City and try and make a million bucks’.”
Right, now we know where she hangs out – to Whole Foods we go!
