AILBHE MALONEgets back in the post-partum Pink
TRACK OF THE WEEK: Blow Me (One Last Kiss) Pink
It’s all there – the sarky title, the expletive-laden bridge and chorus, the I’ll-get-over-you-just-you-wait- and-see vocals, and a production credit for Greg Kurstin. Pink’s back, and she’s in vintage form. Blow Me (One Last Kiss) is in the vein of So What and Raise Your Glass. In other words, despite the fact that she’s just had a baby, Pink is still the friend you want to take you dancing post-break-up.

Ellie Goulding has announced that the follow-up to Lights will be titled Halcyon. Ellie didn’t mean for it to be a heartbreak record, but it seems it turned out that way. She explained, “this album for me is a journey from dark into light, from confusion to understanding. I didn’t set out to write a break-up record but I think it became one.” Speaking to Time magazine, she explained the influence that boyfriend Skrillex had on the record. “I think we influence each other – not necessarily in music, but in the way that any couple would influence each other. One of the reasons that we first liked each other is that we’re both very motivated and we work really hard.”

After all the maybes, Rochelle Saturdays finally married Marvin JLS last Friday. The singer had her fellow Saturdays bandmates as her bridesmaids. In an interview with Hello! magazine, Rochelle elaborated on her hunt for the perfect dress: “It had to be Vera Wang. Marvin proposed two days into a 10-day holiday and I was itching to get back so I could go and find my dress. To me, Vera Wang’s designs are the ultimate. I knew I’d find my dream dress in her collection and I did.”
