Nighthawks fly all around town

The arts collective that never sleeps, Nighthawks, has fingers (talons?) in pies all over the city

The arts collective that never sleeps, Nighthawks, has fingers (talons?) in pies all over the city. The group, which is headed by part-time playwright Stephen Kennedy, will have its next regular gig night in the Cobalt Café on April 14th.

Before that, however, there's a visit to RTÉ on Wednesday, April 4th, where Radio 1's arts show, Arena, will host another live Nighthawks special from Studio 8 at 7.30pm. There will be music, comedy and literature on the show, with performances from The Gandhis, Little Xs for Eyes, Novastone and TeaTronik.

As mentioned last week, Nighthawks will also take part in Bodytonic's Beatyard Weekender, curating a programme of events on Sunday, May 6th at the Twisted Pepper on Abbey Street. The line-up includes music from The Gandhis, and Daithí and Marc O'Reilly; comedy from Pat McDonnell and Eleanor Tiernan; and poetry from Colm Keegan. bodytonicmusic.com
