Not many artists have the balls to put out two albums on the same day, but that's what the Dundalk singer-songwriter warrior and punk poet Jinx Lennon did with the simultaneous release of Magic Bullets of Madness to Uplift the Grief Magnets and Past Pupil Stay Sane in 2016.

Double albums are seemingly for lightweights, and what made Lennon’s gutsy move more impressive is that only the likes of Guns N’ Roses and Tom Waits usually attempt such a feat.

His follow-up is aptly titled Grow a Pair!!!, and it sees Lennon reflect on parenthood, marriage, life's ups and downs and all the beautiful madness of our world and little basket case of an island. On his ninth full-length studio record, Lennon shoehorns 18 tracks into a single album with no compromise on quality, or toning down the directness of his voice or vision.

Laced with humour and positivity, Grow a Pair!!! again confirms Lennon as one of the most idiosyncratic and singular talents in this country. Jinx is never afraid to sing in his own accent, or address the personal and political, and every shade of grey in between, while empowering the listener throughout the whole beautiful process. jinxlennon.com
