Consisting of new material and remixes, Ninja Tune XXbrings established names (Coldcut, Mr Scruff, Roots Manuva, Diplo, Cinematic Orchestra) and newer talents (Floating Points, Lorn, Jono McCleery, Zomby, Dorian Concept, Andreya Triana) together for a headspinning demonstration of where Ninja Tune is at. Regardless of electronic tastes, there are highlights at every turn, from Two Fingers' stomping bass thumper Foolsand Toddla T sharing the limelight with Ms Dynamite to cosmic soul-jazz from Floating Points Ensemble and Gaslamp Killer's super- sharp reworking of a classic from DJ Vadim. Here's hoping the next 20 years are as fruitful.
