While the band are ambitious in the scope and scale of their sound – a sweep that has room for both creeping arthouse ruminations and gorgeous chamber-pop wig-outs – all of this sonic stargazing is built on sturdy foundations, with the bones of the song robust enough to take any amount of stylistic scaffolding.
