Sarah Blasko is the daughter of Christian missionaries who worships at the temple of kooky, chilled-out pop music. Following huge success in her native Australia, the singer- songwriter’s third album takes on a distinctly Scandinavian tone – mainly thanks to the expert production of Björn Yttling (of Peter Björn John fame).

Most of these songs are quirky, hymnal melodies twisted neatly around piano and acoustic guitar, but it's the gently forceful bumble of All I Wantand the slinky shift and shuffle of Sleeper Awakesthat keeps things interesting. Fans of Fiona Apple, Lykke Li, Cathy Davey and Imogen Heap may well adore Blasko, but, while her sound has an all-round appeal, it's not quite original enough to be indispensable. Nice background music, though. Ouch.
