Cork musician and songwriter Eoin French, also known as Talos, has died aged 36.
A message was posted on his social media channels saying he had died in Cork on Sunday. He had cancer.
French had been performing as the electronic artist Talos since 2013.
He was described in a statement from his social media account, as “a beautiful soul, a true artist, a son, a husband, a father, and a friend”.

The message also confirmed that new music from Talos would be released in the near future.
His first album, 2017′s Wild Alee, was nominated for a Choice Music Prize award. He subsequently released to more records: 2019′s Far Out Dust and 2022′s Dear Chaos.
He frequently played shows across the UK and Europe and was partially based in Iceland. He also performed in supports slots for acts including Bell X1, Bon Iver and Dermot Kennedy.
French first began gigging with the band Hush War Cry while he was in college before he began performing as Talos.
French later spent time in Iceland working with INNI, an independent music publisher and record label based in Reykjavík.
