When the Cork Opera House started hosting alternative comedy and music in their Green Room some years ago, it was a major success. Since the beginning of this year, they have expanded into their own scene dock, to create a 350-seater theatre, with a balcony, known as the Half Moon, which Sile de Valera officially opened last Friday.
There is live music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and a lively theatre programme. From Monday, Conor Mc Pherson's gripping series of interlocking monologues, This Lime-Tree Bower, will be running at 8 p.m.
