HAMILTON Osborne King will be conducting its next furniture and fine art auction in Blackrock, Dublin, this Wednesday at 2.30 p.m. It features some unusual pieces, such as a box collection of six glass negatives showing 93 Merrion Square during the visit of Queen Victoria in 1901 and a quantity of coloured lithographs by Currier & Ives, including one showing the funeral of Daniel O'Connell in August 1845.

Furniture includes a late 19th century, mahogany extending dining table (estimate £3,000-£5,000) a set of eight mahogany dining chairs, circa 1830 (£2,000-£3,000), and an early 19th century mahogany and brass inlaid fold over top card table (£1,400-£1,600). A mid 19th century mahogany musical bracket clock is expected to sell for £2,000-£3,000, a mahogany and boxwood banded cheval mirror, circa 1900 is expected to fetch £800-£1,200 and an Irish mahogany sideboard with pedimented and carved gallery has an estimate of £1,500-£2,000.
