THE recent contents auction in Sutton, Dublin, consucted by Drums of Malahide saw a late 19th century oil by Heywood Hardy called Fireside Friends go for £6,000 and a view of Amalfi by R. Monseret make £1,900. Another Italian oil called Ships in a Choppy Sea fetched £950.
Among the furniture, £1,800 was paid for a 19th century ebony cabinet with Sevres panels.
