A MAJOR exhibition of prints is planned for the Temple Bar area of Dublin next autumn

A MAJOR exhibition of prints is planned for the Temple Bar area of Dublin next autumn. It will be called the Temple Bar International Print Show, is sponsored by Smurfit Ireland, and will take place in 11 venues from October 17th to November 10th.

The exhibition will contain two distinct sections: an open submission Irish one, and an invited section including works by artists from Finland, Austria, Sweden, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. The exhibits for the Irish show will be selected by a distinguished American expert, Roberta Waddell, curator of prints at the New York Public Library. Works in all graphic media will be considered, but not photographs. There are no restrictions on size.

The venues will include the Graphic Studio Gallery, the Original Print Gallery, Art house, the Ark Children's Cultural Centre, Design Yard, the Gallery of Photography, the Jo Rain Gallery, the Music Centre, the Bank of Ireland Centre, the Irish Film Centre, and even lamp posts along the Liffey.

Works can be submitted to Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, 5-9 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, by hand or by post, between July 15th and 20th inclusive.
