After some strong adverse reactions to its Report on Traditional Music, compiled by FF senator and Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann director, Labhras O Murchu, the Joint Committee on Heritage and the Irish Language advertised in this and other newspapers on March 15th for public submissions writes Mic Moroney.

However, the deadline is next Wednesday, April 7th, giving little over three weeks to individuals and organisations, whose interests were not served in the original, rather narrow report. The Arts Council is finally set to discuss it at its meeting next week. O Murchu's wife, Una, sits on the Council.
