The Corona Cork Film Festival, the oldest such event in the country, kicks off on November 1st and runs busily until November 8th.

Julian Temple, director of essential films about the Sex Pistols and The Clash, will be trundling along to present Oil City Confidential, his new study of key 1970s pub-rockers Dr Feelgood. Other attendees include master animator Georges Schwizgeble and the Austrian sage Peter Tscherkassky. We'll expand these notes into a more comprehensive preview in next week's Ticket.
