In future, this space will be reserved for news on the current title of Woody Allen’s latest film. Shot in Rome, the picture was originally titled Bop Decameron, but, following suggestions that the general public might not be familiar with Giovanni Boccaccio, it was changed to Nero Fiddled. Now Sony Pictures has decided that we’re not expected to know about myths of the early Caesars.

“Nero Fiddled, while an appropriate and humorous phrase in the US, is not a familiar expression overseas,” a spokesperson said. As of noon today, the picture, which stars Jesse Eisenberg and Alec Baldwin, is trading as To Rome With Love. Watch this space.
