The Kinopolis Film Festival returns to the Irish Film Institute this week to highlight the best in Polish cinema.

The do opens on Thursday with a screening of the hugely acclaimed Rose by Wojciech Smarzowski. A romance set in the aftermath of the second World War, the picture recently triumphed at the Polish Film Awards. The event, which runs until November 11th, incorporates an exhibition at FilmBase. Other highlights include a screening of Andrzej Wajda’s durable historical drama Danton.
