All Is By My Side, that Jimi Hendrix film featuring Andre Benjamin, has run into a spot of copyright bother. It seems that the film, being shot in Ireland, has been denied the right to use any of Hendrix’s original music.

Instead, the picture will use Benjamin’s recordings of songs by other artists.

So, we assume All Along the Watchtower and Hey Joe are in, but that Purple Haze and Voodoo Chile are out.
