WHEN HE’S not making Oscar-winning movies, filmmaker Steven Soderbergh likes to watch them too – he’s also partial to some telly and books. He recently posted the films and TV series he’s watched and books he’s read in the past year. Here are some highlights:

He watched The Social Network five times;

He saw Raiders of the Lost Ark three times in a week, each time in black and white;

On October 10 he read Andre Agassi's Open, reread The Catcher in the Rye and watched four episodes of Mad Men ;

On January 8 he watched Black Swan, The Day of the Jackal and three episodes of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.;

He hasn't seen Toy Story 3 or The King's Speech ;

He read David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest ;

He finished several paintings;

And he was making two movies – Haywireand Contagion.
