The great David Kelly, who died earlier in the week at the age of 82, admitted that, in comparison to many actors, he enjoyed something of a charmed life. Recalling his days working alongside the likes of Milo O’Shea, he told Reel News: “You didn’t live the life of Riley, but you never stopped working. There weren’t very many of us, because only an idiot would do it. This is long before it seemed possible to be rich and famous. The idea that any of us would be rich and famous was ridiculous.”
Kelly may not have been rich, but tributes from the likes of Johnny Depp confirmed that he gained a pretty respectable (and deserved) degree of fame.
