An early announcement of this year's Irish National Stamp Exhibition, the 26th such event, was made last week. Stampa '97 will take place from November 7th to 9th at the RDS in Dublin, and it will mark the 75th anniversary of independence, which accordingly saw the issue of the first Irish postal stamps.

Supported by the An Post, the Irish Philatelic Traders Association and the Federation of Philatelic Societies in Ireland, Stampa will be attended by exhibitors and collectors both from the Republic and abroad.
