Simian Mobile Disco probably owe their very existence to a remix - in the shape of that classic Justice take on their former band Simian's We Are Your Friends- so getting a gang of remixers in to rework last year's excellent Attack Decay Sustain Releasealbum is apt carry-on.
Naturally, some remixers fare better than others. Dubliner-in-New-York Marcus Lambkin, aka Shit Robot, has a whale of a time with It's The Beat, locating a whole new dynamic within that well-weathered tune.
French producer Joakim tweaks Hustlerto a whole new level, Erol Alkan and Richard Norris, as Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve, find psychedelic gold within Loveand the Silver Apples turn Scottinto a moody soundscape.
Others are not so fortunate - Pinch's version of I Believedoes neither the remixer nor the artist any favours.
