The folks behind the Young Hearts Run Free collective have some simple ambitions for their gatherings around the capital city. Every get- together should have an amazing line-up, carry a fair door tax and support a charity. Their fourth hop sees them hop aboard the Dublin Fringe Fest bandwagon in the Spiegeltent with a strong line-up. We Love Dancing In The Dark will feature appointments with Spilly Walker (David Kitt, pictured, and younger brother Robbie’s electropop vehicle for good times), Villagers (do they really need an introduction?), D1 Records and DEAF head- honcho Eamonn Doyle, Peter Toomey (ex-Immediate dude now presenting the BrainBeat show on 2XM) and DJs from the Skinny Wolves, Maximum Joy and YHRF camps.
We’re also told to expect cakes, trees and special guests. The Simon Community is the charity getting the attention and some cash on this occasion.
