KEVIN GLACKEN (fiddle,) and piper Ronan Browne's opening jigs here were vivid.
The sheer "interest" of their selection. variation and attack was propelled further by Desi Wilkinson (flute) in a King George and Cat that Kittled in Jamie's Wig highland and reel set which pushed him close to his finest, diaphragm driven cruising.
Slip jigs Cookin' Andy and Dusty Miller displayed ease with complex rhythm, while guest Triona Ni Dhomhnaill's vocals sat on their own, her harmonium and keyboard backing the music.
Sound was poor, the night short, organisation casual, but, bazoukistlsinger Sean Corcoran was magnificent - a cappella - on the south Armagh version of Seven Joys of Mary; Amlirtin na Stampai and the macaronic Lewis Finllaigean were superb in unison voices - the band's strength.
Wilkinson led an impressive Willie Taylor song encore and a lilted set that hit the wonderful Rembetika, blues style intensity which this band uniquely can achieve.
