A report headed "Survey gives LRT vote of confidence" in the editions of July 12th said that, according to an MRBI survey, "more than 60 per cent of people questioned about the Dublin Light Rail project would not travel on an underground rail system in the city for personal, safety and pollution related reasons". In fact, 53 per cent of the number of people who were either indifferent to or not interested in an underground system (33 per cent of the total survey) gave reasons of concern for safety, pollution, and claustrophobia.
