An article headed "Hen and stag-free zone repairs image" in last Friday's editions said "Almost one in 10 people agreed that Temple Bar was an exciting area with lots to do". In fact, in the survey by Behaviour and Attitudes, 91 per cent agreed that Temple Bar was an exciting area with lots to do.
In the report headed "McEvaddy lobbied politicians on aircraft regulation" in the editions of August 25th, it was stated incorrectly that Mr Ulick McEvaddy had been granted a temporary injunction preventing the Irish Aviation Authority from implementing the EU noise directive.
In fact, what the High Court granted was leave to apply for an injunction and leave to apply for a judicial review.
The article headed "EU report on jobs to censure provision for childcare" in yesterday's editions referred to Mr Padraig Flynn as "former commissioner for social affairs". Mr Flynn is in fact Commissioner for another week. The error occurred in the editing process.
The photographs of Dr Arthur Barry and Dr Kieran O'Driscoll were inadvertently transposed in yesterday's article headed "Midwifery of darker times".
Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
