In a report in last Thursday's editions Mr John Power, chief executive of the Irish Hotels' Federation, was quoted as calling on the Minister for Tourism, Dr McDaid, to drop his proposal for a £3 tourist tax. In fact, Mr Power was objecting to the £3 tax proposed by Dublin Corporation on tourists staying in city accommodation.
