Despite tepid reviews for their 2004 remake of British comedy classic The Ladykillers, Joel and Ethan Coen are planning a new version of the 1969 western True Grit, for which John Wayne won the best actor Oscar.
The Coens are now in post-production on the mid-1960s-set black comedy
A Serious Man, featuring an unfamiliar cast and due for release in October. They will follow that with The
Yiddish Policeman's Union, based on Michael Chabon's novel.
