The education and community development department of the Irish Museum of Modern Art has won a number of awards for its impressive work over the past eight years. Now a new publication, A Space To Grow, (£9.95) sets out the Museum's approach to working with children, artists and teachers in the primary school sector. It provides detailed descriptions and illustrations of individual projects, showing how contemporary art can be used to explore children's imagination.
"The projects outlined in the book prove that . . . the visual arts can enhance children's creative experience", says the department's head, Helen O'Donoghue.
A Space To Grow is available through IMMA's bookshop.
