John Lydon has confirmed that Public Image Ltd will record new material in the near future – if they can raise enough cash on their forthcoming tour. The punk band, formed by Lydon after the demise of the Sex Pistols, recently reformed for five UK dates in December.

The singer credited their reunion to the money he earned by doing a controversial TV ad for Country Life butter.
