The James Adam salerooms hosts two auctions next week, the first on Monday when the company's Kildare Street auction offers a wide selection of Victorian and Edwardian furniture (expected to start going at around £200 per item) and lots of silver, glass and porcelain, with estimates as low as £5 each. On Wednesday, Adam's will be holding an important wine sale, with one bottle, a Chateau d'Yquem dating from 1787, expected to fetch £50,000. The other 450-plus lots run from Jacob's Creek to Chateau Mouton Rothschild, together with a number of wine accessories, such as an Irish, early Victorian oak and mahogany gentleman's drinking table. The wine sale begins at 2.15 p.m.
