DALLAS - The Oklahoma City bombing suspect, Mr Timothy McVeigh, admitted planting the bomb that killed 168 people and told his defence team he launched the attack during the daytime to kill a high number of people, the Dallas Morning News reported yesterday.

The newspaper said in a special report published on its Internet page that it had obtained confidential defence team documents summarising several interviews with Mr McVeigh in which he detailed preparations for the April 19th, 1995, attack which killed 168 people.
