BELFAST'S splendid Grand Opera House recently announced its Autumn/Winter programme, writes Jane Coyle.
The season kicks off with a glossy new touring production of Cole Porter's High Society and is followed by another in the same spectacular vein - Unforgettable, The Nat King Cole Story, starring Clarke Peters, creator of Five Guys Named Moe, in the title role. The Lyric Theatre makes its first sortie across the city, with David Grant's hugely successful production of Philadelphia Here I Come!, a curtain raiser to its American tour. The tap musical Hot Shoe Shuffle clicks in at the end of October.
Three shows will form part of the programme of this year's Belfast Festival at Queen's - a revival of the 1950s classic A Taste of Honey, the Royal Ballet of Flanders with Cinderella and absolutely the last outing of Return of the Forbidden Planet.
