AS MACNAS took part in St. Patrick's Day parades in both Galway and Dublin, the 21 strong cast and crew of Balor, their acclaimed stage show, winged its way to Columbia to take part in the Festival Iber Americano in Bogota, Columbia's biannual festival of the arts.
This is perhaps the most prestigious Irish cultural visit ever to South America. Gulliver, the inflatable St. Patrick and a team of Fir Bolg's will lead off the carnival parade at the start of Bogota's four week long celebration, after which Balor will play for five nights in its biggest ever venue to an expected audience of 2,250 each night.
