Julian Casablancas of The Strokes has announced details of a forthcoming solo album. The singer is one of the last members of the New York band not to have indulged in extracurricular projects.

Casablancas will release Phrazes for the Youngthis autumn, with a tour to follow. The Strokes, meanwhile, have also begun work on their fourth album after a three-year hiatus
