Art for Amnesty will host a benefit premiere screening of The Fever, next Monday at 6.30pm in the Irish Film Institute, Dublin, with director Carlo Nero and star Vanessa Redgrave (Nero's mother, pictured) in attendance, writes Michael Dwyer.
Based on a Wallace Shawn play, the film follows a woman's visit to a beautiful but troubled country that forces her to re-evaluate her economic, social and political relationships. Shot in Zagreb, the film also features Michael Moore, Joely Richardson, Rade Sherbedgia and Geraldine James.
HBO Films has donated the film to Amnesty International for screenings across Ireland, and a share of all proceeds will be donated to Amnesty. www.artforamnesty.org
