ANTIQUES dealers from all over the state have been hoarding their best stock for many months to show at the Irish Antiques Dealers Fair, which has two more days to run at the RDS in Ballsbridge. Pictured here is a fine eight arm Victorian cut glass chandelier, which is the star item on the stand of Clancy's Chandeliers, a family run company based in Bray, Co Wicklow. The Clancys are experts in cleaning and restoring, as well as selling, antique crystal light fittings. This piece costs £10,500.

Edward Butler Antiques has had a stand at the fair for all its 31 years, and owner Peter Bateman is one of the most respected names in the business. He specialises in Irish and English Georgian furniture and also has an Intriguing selection of antique marine items.

The fair is open today from 11 a.m to 9.30 p.m. and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
