A new series of "improvised and experimental" performances dubbed The Foldwill take place in Dublin over the coming months. An array of diverse musicians will perform at the medieval St Audeon's Church on High Street, beginning with musicians Seán Óg, Fergus Cullen, Gavin Duffy, Karl Him and Iarla Ó Lionáird on March 26th.

April’s event showcases Morla with David Donohue (Wednesday 23rd). May will see a double-header of Justin Carroll’s Triple Piglet and Electronic Sensoria Band (Thursday 21st). The final performance on June 4th will see fiddle player Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh joined by experimentalists Threadpulls, and a spoken word performance from Cathal Coughlan (Fatima Mansions/Microdisney). Tickets for all shows are €12 from Tickets.ie.

The event, a collaborative project, is run mainly by Note Productions, which is responsible for many of the jazz, classical and world music events held in Ireland.
